Hello and Welcome
Hello and welcome to the kick off of our website for the upcoming Chilton Wisconsin Art Show.
This show is an exclusive event with both an invitational and open application process. All artists are encouraged to apply for consideration. Selected artists are invited to display up to four pieces of their work to display in the 9,000 sq ft library that will be converted into a gallery space designed to promote safe interaction between the artists and audience.
This project is from the brilliant mind of Diego Sosa, high school senior and local member of Boy Scout Troop 810. Diego is taking his love of art and turning it into a community showing for his Eagle Scout Project.
Trying to plan an Eagle Scout project and an art show can be challenging. Doing it during the COVID-19 pandemic takes it to a whole new level. Leading a work group while navigating the ever changing environment of access restrictions to the library is not an easy task. This project has evolved from a simple one day show to a virtual showing with a possible in-person week long event.
We hope that you join Diego, Chilton Boy Scout Troop 810 and the Chilton Public Library on this journey of art over the course of the next few weeks. The recent months may have been challenging, but as German artist Gerhard Richter said, "Art is the highest form of hope."
